Cowton Moor House was a historic building filled with character but in need of some TLC, having not been updated for 40 years. The building also had a derelict barn attached to it. Our brief was to carry out a full renovation program to the house. This would include converting the barn into a beautifully traditional barn conversion with contemporary features. A traditional oak roof was fitted, alongside an oak floating staircase and glass balustrading. We installed 3 new beautiful bathrooms, a new kitchen, oak flooring and limestone flooring. Also fitted were oak ledger and braced doors. We completed a full rewire, including the installation of a new heating system, plastering and decoration. Finally, we concluded by landscaping the gardens and we also fitted an oak electric gate for improved ease of access.
We couldn’t have been happier to embrace the unique brief presented to us for this project. We were able to effectively produce a bespoke blend of tradition and modernism.
